   Tom DeVilbiss, 50, Independence, Missouri, passed away Saturday, May 22, 2004 at Research Medical Center in Kansas City.

   Tom was born December 28, 1953 in Ciudad Madero, Tamaulipas, Mexico, the son of pioneer missionaries Harold and Concepcion Munoz DeVilbiss.  He and his wife Robin were approved as missionaries to Mexico by the Baptist Bible Fellowship in 1986. 

   They served there until 2000 when Tom was diagnosed with a severe kidney disease.  After moving to Independence, he started a Spanish work, sponsored by the Antioch Bible Baptist Church, Bob Baier, Pastor, under the USLG program of the BBFI.  He found a donor and had a kidney transplant in September, 2003.

    He was survived by his wife, Robin, daughters, Elizabeth, Rachel, and Erica, all of the home, his father and mother of Mexico City, brother John of Hawaii, sister Annita Hoagland, also a missionary to Mexico and brother Daniel of Mexico City.
