Bill Logan was born October 7, 1923 to Frank and Flossie Logan in Ottumwa, Iowa. He accepted Christ as his personal Savior at the age of 12. At the age of 19 he surrendered his life to missionary service to China. While in Seminary he met Lois Donnelson, the daughter of missionaries, Fred and Effie Donnelson, who had just returned from China.

They were married in October, 1945. They began their ministry in Shanghai, China in December, 1946. In 1948 they were driven from China by the Communists and returned to Ottumwa, where he ministered as the associate pastor of the Ottumwa Baptist Temple. He later pastored the Mark Baptist Church in Mark, Iowa. In 1951, they went to Taiwan, establishing a ministry which included the founding of the Taipei Baptist Tabernacle. From this church 5 additional churches were established and 40 pastors were called to minister to Chinese around the world. In 1967 he founded the Beacon Hill Baptist Chapel in Hong Kong.

In 1975 they returned to the states where he pastored the First Bible Baptist Church of Wichita, Kansas until 1979. In 1980, he returned to the Orient. Realizing the need for good Bible teachers, he, along with his son Richard, established Video Bible Studies to produce in-depth Bible lessons taught by the Chinese to the Chinese.

He continue to assist in this ministry until his home going May 25, 2002. He is survived by his wife, Lois; four children , Mary Ellen, Richard, Steve, and Kathy; 11 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
