Joe Rodriguez was born November 16, 1910 in Cardenas, Cuba.  He was a graduate of Boone Biblical College in Boone, Iowa.  Joe was ordained in 1937 in Tampa, Florida and immediately left with his new bride, Grace (Dirks), to start churches in Cuba.  They were approved as Baptist Bible Fellowship missionaries in 1955.  

In 1959 when Castro took over Cuba, the Rodriguez family left all of their possessions and fled in one of the last boats. They then served in Puerto Rico and later in Baja, California.  Thousands have been saved due to his tireless efforts and approximately 40 men have been called into the ministry.  Joe went to meet his Lord on April 17, 2001. He was survived by his wife Grace, daughter Yolando Pittman and one granddaughter.
