Elizabeth (Mc Kellar) Jelley was born October 25, 1914, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She married Ed Jelley on September 30, 1934, in Lakeview, Oregon. They were sent out by the First Baptist Church of Lakeview as missionaries to India in 1949. They stayed until 1952 when they returned for a short time to attend Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri, and then returned to India in 1955 as Baptist Bible Fellowship missionaries. 

After Ed's death in November, 1985, Elizabeth continued to serve there in India with her son, Caroll and his wife Bonnie until she came back to the states on medical leave in 1990. Elizabeth was called Home to be with her Lord on March 6, 1997. She was survived by her sons, Ed and Caroll who is a Baptist Bible Fellowship missionary in Ahmednagar, India. She was also survived by seven grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
