BBFI Church Development Vision:
Help strengthen BBFI Pastors to serve with wisdom, passion, and longevity to lead the church well and reach their communities in a greater way.
We endeavor to do this by:
A) Supporting New Pastors
Pastors in the BBFI can request assistance for those taking on new ministry roles who would benefit from the support of an experienced pastor, whether current or retired. The Church Planting Ministry of the BBFI will collaborate with the Church Development Ministry of the BBFI to ensure that care and assistance are provided to those serving.
Establishing a relationship with a fellow “local” pastor
Offering assistance from a seasoned Pastor (existing or retired)
Receiving coaching or mentoring from a Pastor (existing or retired)
B) Encouraging Existing Pastors
Every minister of the Gospel, whether full-time or bi-vocational, experiences highs and lows. Our adversary will continue to work against any believer and the work of the ministry that seeks to follow God. Understanding that there are pastors and staff who face challenging times in so many ways, we want to provide support in a tangible way.

C) Developing Leaders
God prepares leaders for the positions He has led them to accept. Sometimes, He allows them to learn from the successes and failures they have had in their own lives, while some leaders have the privilege of learning from others’ experiences. It’s easiest to learn from others in any situation if we listen.
We coordinate with Pastoral leadership ministries that are uniquely designed to lead, train, and support pastors as they navigate their ministries. Each ministry is led by pastors and will often involve regular meetings where pastors collaborate on leadership principles based on the teachings and proven principles found in God’s Word.
D) Supporting Pastors and Ministries
a. If pastors are facing struggles and have exhausted their options, help will gladly be offered in any way possible. Seasoned and spiritually mature pastors would provide this assistance. Assistance may be provided via phone, online meeting services (Zoom or Teams), email, or in-person, all by arrangement.
Connections can be made with like-minded pastors who have successfully gone through the church development or revitalization journey. These pastors can offer support and encouragement in contemplating the necessary steps that lead to fulfilling the ministry's needs. They will help assess, review, assist, and support during the leadership process.
b. If a church ministry requires help in locating a pastor or staff member, we will highlight this information in our promotional materials and support other ministers in connecting with your church ministry leadership.
Each assisting BBFI pastor has served and continues to serve the Lord. This aspect of the BBFI was initiated by pastors who recognized that the methods learned and practiced were effective in earlier ministries but were no longer effective in current ministries.
Questions began to arise about making simple changes, which led to the development of this newer “arm” of the fellowship.
Each leader has grown through the challenges faced in ministry and is glad to assist with the challenges currently being faced. The desire of each pastor and leader is not to dictate "what” to do, but rather to share what the Lord “has worked” in their lives and how God has moved in their lives and ministry through time.
